Customize Your Pregens

We'd be first to admit that character creation is a vital and fun part of Pathfinder games. However, if you're running a demo game or just a fun one-shot adventure between your regular campaign sessions, you don't want to spend too much time on it.

Inspired by Apocalypse World's playbooks that cover everything from character creation to advancement, our "pregens" offer a quick way to build characters that feel yours without getting lost in the weeds. To customize them to your liking, you will get to choose:

1. one of 8 ancestries, with 4 heritages each
2. one of 3 classes that embody a character concept (Fighter, Rogue and Sorcerer), with multiple variations like fighting style, Racket or spell tradition
3. how your Attributes are arranged
4. your background, skills and equipment

In addition, your sheets will include rules reference (including spells, feats and skill actions) relevant to your character.

For the GM

We expect you to have a folder of 13 sheets (10 classes, 2 ancestries and 1 equipment) that you carry from event to event. With this in mind, we release each sheet as a separate file to help you restock your folder after each time you run a game.

It's best to print ancestry sheets on sticker paper but if that is not possible, you also need a method of cutting and attaching them (like scissors, sticks of glue, paper clips etc.)

Most Pathfinder parties have 4 characters and in that case we recommend the fourth character to be an additional Sorcerer with Heal spell (Angelic or Fey Bloodline).

Due to Attribute flaws, dwarves cannot be Sorcerers or Scoundrel Rogues, gnomes and halflings cannot be Strong Fighters.

Class sheets should be  printed double-sided, flipped on short edge. Ancestry sheets should be printed on separate sheets to allow gluing.
